A local resident on a flying lesson got this great shot of Kersal Dale looking towards Manchester.

Robert Martin, who got the lesson from friends as a birthday gift, didn't expect to see his home from the air having just flown to Blackpool and back.

But when the flying instructor realised that Robert lived close to the return route to City Airport (Barton Aerodrome), he asked if the amateur flier fancied seeing his home from above.
